This is on Yandex and is one of the few which they restrict access to, because of high demand. Looks like a great comp and thanks for posting it, but since I don't want to register with Yandex, would you consider posting a new link?
In any case, have a great Yule!

I Love your site but no YAndex for me.I agree.

Please repost,
Yandex needs log in with russian letters when files' limits exceeded....
Many thanks for your wonderful blog.

Thanks for all you do and although I have no problem with joining Yandex, in fact I have and downloaded the some of John Lennon files with little problem.

Another site, Zinhof was also thrown out Cloudike for no reason but I also downloaded from his site through Yandex on Thursday.

Since then however having registered, installed the Desktop app trying to download just takes me round and round and I find myself totally frustrated.

If any of your readers know, what if anything I am doing wrong their help would be appreciated. Until then I will have to manage without the Wrecking Crew.

Confession Time. I really dont like Christmas songs much anyway.

Merry Christmas

Jim

Hey, great stuff, as always, but I don't really know Yandex and kind of leery about signing up with them. Hopefully, we can find your cool downloads elsewhere soon. Thanks. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas

Far be it from me to make suggestions that I'm almost sure you already know about, or have used before, but have you tried or considered Zippyshare? Many of the same "bloggers" as yourself use that service and it seems to be a very solid service. Hope this actually helps.

Maybe this can help with Yandex. You shouldn't have to create an account.
When the link window comes up, you can hover over the zip file picture and a view button appears. Click on view and another window will open. In the top right hand corner there is a download arrow, click on that and the download will start like normal.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for this great site.

I tried the Yandex workaround suggested by LonChes. No luck. Any other ideas? Appreciate the original post.

Something about Yandex... I've always find them 'creepy' as a download service.

Unfortunately, the hovering over the file picture never appeared.

Why would a service not have the capacity to let you download a file, but does have the capacity to let you download that same file after you also download their software which permits them full access to your computer?

Hi Plaicemat Again

I've just tried Yandex on Opera with VPN enabled. The wrecking Crew downloaded directly to my hard drive, after I signed in. Because of the VPN hiding my origin I couldn't translate the page to English so it wasn't all plain sailing.
I tried Zinhof with a similar result but this time I had to download to the Yandex folder and retrieve the files from there.

Incidentally Zinhof is now also posting in Zippyshare. Using Opera/VPN the ban on UK users is completely ignored.

Thanks again and I hope this helps someone.

I've already wished you a Merry Christmas so here goes, Happy New Year.

Not sure if anything changed, but I tried LonChes's instructions tonight and this time they worked! Thanks very much for the help!

LonChes' suggestion is working for me at this very minute, as well. Awesome!

Glad to hear it is working for you.

I don't know if this matters, but all of the KHJ links worked without issue.
I was downloading 6 links at a time, just by clicking one "Download" button, no sign ups or anything.

This link behaves differently. It doesn't provide a direct, one click link like the others.
Instead the link is asking to "Save to Yandex.Disk" (then requesting a login) and there's also an additional greyed note saying "Download limit exceeded," even though it's been 3 or 4 days since I got the KHJ's.

So I suspect it has something to do with the account itself, or how they are tagged or something. I have no clue, having never dealt with Yandex except to DL here and at Zinhof's.

But the KHJ's STILL have a one-click "Download" button, where this one does not.

@Anon, try the "Zippy"

Thanks for this and the zippy option, BF! I picked this up from Willard a few years ago but "misplaced" it. Glad to get another crack at it!

403 Forbidden. This is the result with Zippy. Thanks in any case.

Zippy worked fine here. Thanks for that and for the Wrecking Crew.

@BlankFrank

Already did, and thanks a million.

I was just pointing out the differences in the posts/links themselves. The older ones have a "download" link, while the newer ones don't. The "problem" might just be an organizational one on the Yandex site.

Thanks again.

Thank you for Zippy and this Awesome Christmas mix!

Damn yandex! Tried LonChess way, doesn't work on my Mac!

Hey PR! I brought back AYBCS so my projects had a permanent home and so others can enjoy it. With Willard closing up shop, AYBCS had to come back. HAHA, I even asked a few blogs to host my stuff, but they refused. So here I am! I always road-test them over at our other place before posting here. Great to hear from you again!

HI, can the zippy be re-upped? I would love to listen to this, thanks!
