Bob D*Y*L*A*N - Judas! (The Complete 1965-66 Recordings) Part Two

Here are some useful sites that helped keep me on track while compiling Judas! This one was fairly straightforward and I used this the most: Still On The Road. Best for finding other info during research: Punkhart.com/Dylan/Misc.  And of course, what I think is the most complete, but I found it unwieldy if I needed quick info: Searching for a Gem

  3. Sooner or later all of us must know that BlankFrank's last name could be Tarantula! It's more work than eight legs can handle...more web than one spider can spin...more Dylan than will fit on the cutting edge of ANY razor. But, is it SHARP? Honed to the specs that we have come to expect...the standards that few archivists hold as objectives...the results that Dylan's work deserves: THIS is more than water seeking its own level. This is the final benchmark that will guide, motivate and even confuse those who want to complete the Zimmerman big picture! We have suddenly all become The Fly and this web will tangle all efforts to escape it. I have always said that The Cutting Edge's REAL crown jewel was the 9 replicated vinyl 7" singles...but this gift is a venomous set of giant fangs that will not kill --- ONLY paralyze the recipient. No BlackWidow analogy here! We must await our fate no more. Destiny has spoken! BlankFrank, THANK YOU...for pledging your time to us. While some of us are old enough to remember the folk singer turning electric...this places EVERYONE directly in the gardens of Gethsemane and we are all about to wake up and realize WHO is the real Judas! That might mean this set has reflective properties in which we will see our own image...however confused or bewildered. It looks like we have all just kissed the accused. Yes...this is more than just mixed up confusion...much more! Have we been betrayed? Or, are WE the betrayer? This could have been titled 'Calvary' just as easily! Run, Judas! But, to where???

  7. There's a little mistake:
    19650814 - Session 6 (of 6) for Highway 61 Revisited
    should be:
    19650804 - Session 6 (of 6) for Highway 61 Revisited

as the last session was on August 4.

  10. Nat Hentoff Interview For Playboy(from Part 10) needs to move up the TEXT
FILE to just before 1965-10-05 - Session 01 (of 13) for Blonde On Blonde.
That might be unnecessary due to unknown dates of interviews. But, as long
as we're splitting hairs, I thought it noteworthy. I can imagine how easy
it is to see double, triple, or have things take on the mirage look during
the long battle of assembling (OR disappear in optical illusions only to
    delete it in error)...
Confusion can be a very perfect thing, as well!
    Beautiful job!

  11. KC, about the Nat Hentoff interview, I get conflicting dates: autumn '65, Oct '65 or Oct/Nov '65 so I settled on an unspecified date in Oct but placing it at the end of the month. Seeing as Playboys hit the newsstand a month before (and usually subscribers get them even earlier) and there was about a three-month lag before publication, it seems to fit pretty well. BUT if I could find a confirmed date for the interview, that'd be great!

    From Still On The Road:
    Columbia Office
    New York City, New York
    October - November 1965

Nat Hentoff interview for Playboy Magazine.

    Notes.
This is the original Playboy interview containing no less than 177 question and answers. It is very different from the one published in Playboy March 1966.
