ReplyDeleteGot this a few years ago via Willard's Wormholes. Fantastic Collection, really tells the story. Great work, BF!
ReplyDeleteHi Frank
ReplyDeleteI am new to your site as well. what a great start the complete wrecking crew share.
Regards
Possibly the greatest compilation ever. Why? Try coming up with an original concept yourself to find out why this is so rare. A group of musicians who - anonymously - raised the recorded standards of pop music to heights not since reached. The music has amazing diversity (a similar compilation of today's pop is unthinkable) and the cohesiveness that comes from quality playing, no matter what the material. Love the spoken word interludes - just right!
ReplyDeleteIf there was still a music industry (as opposed to under-resourced indie vanity projects and hits made by algorithms and phone apps) this is exactly the kind of project that would be out there on the shelves and shifting units. Well, those days are over, but we still have the music, thanks to the creative diligence and imagination of Blank Frank, pop's greatest archivist.
Simply put, this set is cream-your-jeans amazing. As F.T.III above opined, it very likely IS the greatest compilation ever. Just look at it! Damn! It was a real privilege to witness its conception, embryonic journey, and ultimate delivery as this package, the fully-realized incarnation, that BF has provided. Do yourself a favor and download it two times so you can enjoy it twice as much! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat can be said besides 'wow?' Thank you for this and the rest of your work - I can't wait to see what's coming next. SO glad I stumbled onto this blog. I'm telling my friends.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the interesting stuff.
